      Optical Multiplexer used in CWDM or DWDM dark fiber systems for multiplexing and routing different channels of light into dark fiber.  PacketLight's Optical Multiplexer capabilities allow for either single mode or dual mode dark fiber to be used together with CWDM or DWDM infrastructure.
 
      The PL-400 can be used to seamlessly mux DWDM wavelengths into an existing CWDM spectrum, where the 8 Channel CWDM capacity is utilised, so instead of adding another CWDM connection, a further 32 DWDM wavelengths or services, can be multiplexed into the existing CWDM infrastructure.  This has a significant impact on CWDM ROI, where previously CWDM systems were limited in their use.
 
      PacketLight solutions can also integrate 1G, 2G, 4G and 10G Fiber Channel (FC) into a CWDM or DWDM system.  PacketLight has detailed knowledge of FC and has now launched the PL-1000, capable of providing up to 32 services of 10G FC, WAN or LAN multiplexed into a single fiber.
